A fire broke out on the sets of Comedy Nights with Kapil at Filmcity in Goregaon on Wednesday. No casualty has been reported. The fire officials said the fire broke out in studio no 16 around 8.15am and was brought under control at 10am but the cooling operation continued till1 pm. Four fire engines, five water tankers and an ambulance were rushed to the spot. The Aarey Colony police said there was no shooting going on when the fire broke out. “There was no shooting for the past two to three days on the sets. Four persons came in the morning to set up cameras for the shooting scheduled in the afternoon. But, they saw the fire and called the security guards who informed the fire brigade,” said Uttam More, senior police inspector of Aarey Colony police station. The fire officials said investigation is on to ascertain the cause of the fire and the extent of damage. “Wooden furniture, sound system, cameras, trolley, air- conditioners were burnt in the fire,”said HN Parab, divisional fire officer, who was part of the fire-fighting team.
